"We should stick together. I don't like the idea of spllitt'in up. We might could cover more ground that way, but we could also get sloppy," Julie said as the three of them stood at the intersection; blocking off the crossways and the hall in front of them had given them time to rally together but time was a commodity that waited for no one, not even them.
"We're not splitting up, Peach," Sarah replied. "We're going to backtrack, see if we find another hallway to move down--"
Suddenly several guards showed up behind them, guns at the ready. "Freeze assholes."
Whoa, what the hell? Sarah thought, not bothering to turn around. She knew it was a simulation, so in theory any wounds they suffered inside the Danger Room during a sim would be harmless but even with that thought, the same malevolent feelings from before came roaring back inside of her but she let those thoughts stand aside for the moment; they had bigger problems at the moment... "Stand down. You are surrounded." One of them said. They hadn't come down the pathways that were blocked off by the ice but rather right in front of them. Their movements were masked by the darkness of the hallway and the unfamiliarity with the surroundings.
"No, you are surrounded," Sarah replied, holding up her hand and letting them see the tendrils of ice that began to form at her fingertips, "and I would suggest that you put your weapons down," the tendrils beginning to gather and form a blunt bolt of ice - enough to stun, but not to kill - "and stand aside, right now!" Sarah's voice was a mix of power and slowly building anger. "Or I can stun each of one, take your weapons and finish what we came here to do; your choice..." Sarah rarely ever got angry but she wanted to get past these guards so that they could deal with whatever malevolence had entered the simulation with them; to her, that was the problem lying ahead...

Everything was going smoothly for Sarah and the others as they proceeded into the facility created by the Danger Room's AI simulation; there were a few bugs here and there, Sarah noticed, but nothing that should've concerned her. She knew how the AI simulator worked; she also knew it was prone to the occasional bug...however, something was bugging the hell out of her and it wasn't the simulation.
"Hey, guys, hold up," Sarah called out to Julie and Eric, holding her wrist up in the air to signify that they were stopping for the time being. Looking down a pair of hallways that intersected with the hallway they were in, Sarah held her arm out, feeling the tiny tendrils of ice beginning to form up on her fingertips. As someone skilled in cryokinetic combat, it still bugged her that she had to wait a few seconds for enough cryo energy to build up but once it did...
"Alright, move on up, guys!" she called out to them as she shot bursts of ice down each side hallway, moving her arm in a pattern only she knew. She was creating a set of ice walls that would block off the side hallways, trapping anyone in them for the time being; it also channeled anything they ran into right into their own hallway. As she waited for them to come up to her location, she began to feel a malevolent force inside the simulator with them; it wasn't the simulator's own opponents. No, she could feel it and it was an evil, evil feeling. "Guys, come on up!" she yelled once more, taking time to create one more ice wall in front of them so that they could rally at that intersection without fear of being attacked by anyone....but what the hell's joined us inside the simulator? she started asking herself.

Moving up to the locked entrance, Sarah took a few moments to look at it carefully before leaning down towards it and blowing into it, her icy breath quickly freezing up the lock mechanism in seconds. Here goes nothing, she thought as she blew onto the lock some more before turning around momentarily and slamming her elbow into the lock, shattering it - the lock, that is - into multiple pieces. Brushing out the frozen, busted up lock, she was just about to open the door when both her and Julie heard someone call out to them from behind...
"So what are we doing? Chasing a bad guy? You guys look like you're chasing bad guys."
Then the voice spoke up behind them and Julie jumped. "Cheese and Rice! Masters?!? You scared the daylights out of me!!!"
"Yeah, we're chasing some bad guys, trying to break into a building and rescue some people," Sarah replied, deadpan, as she turned and saw one of the other X-Team members, Eric Masters, standing behind them. "Just another day for the X-Team," she added, smiling as she gave Eric an appreciative, "glad you could make it to the party!" kind of look. She could almost read the thought bubbles going off inside his head and it actually humored her greatly; yes, Sarah hadn't shown a lot of interest in the X-Team but out of wanting to do her part for the X-Men and out of respect for Julie, she'd take a swing at the X-Team. However, she also knew that Eric should be leading the X-Team, not her...but you were here and he wasn't, she grimly mused, so lead, Sarah, lead!
"Anyway, glad you could join us, Eric," Sarah said to him, motioning for him to join her and Julie. "Soon as we get inside, I want Julie to light up the way; I'll back her up and you watch over both of us, alright?" Without waiting for a reply, both her and Julie headed inside - Julie leading the way with a ball of light to light their path inside while Sarah and Eric followed right behind her...

As they continued along, Sarah could feel the heat and humidity begin burrowing its' way inside her, inside her skin, inside her lungs...the effect was like turning on a blowtorch and pointing it straight at a blast freezer and Sarah could feel the effects of it. Walking up behind her she placed a soft hand on her back. "How you holding up?" She whispered. There was no mistaking the concern on her face as the two of them crouched in the clearing deciding which direction to take.
"I'm holding up, babe," Sarah whispered back, taking hold of Julie's hand and giving the back of her hand a tender kiss, as if to say that she was alright. "Just trying to stay cool, that's all," she added, letting out a cold bit of breath over Julie's hand, playfully sticking her tongue out a moment as she turned back around and faced the paths again. Sarah, despite her discomfort, was actually enjoying the simulation and was doing her part.
"Okay. Set phasers to stun." She reminded her. No killing. It wasn't the X-men way and it would instantly crash the simulatio nwith a failure status. Julie moved and shaped the light and guided it down the left path towards the increasing thunder of the drums ahead. Sarah did in fact take charge and Julie doused her light to provide stealth as the drums stopped.
"Hahaha," Sarah replied; she knew the sim rules and the rules of the X-men. She had an aversion to killing; the only time she'd ever consider it would be to defend herself and her fellow mutants and the circumstances there would have to well and truly be beyond bad for that thought to ever have to be considered. "I know, I know...come on, come on," she said as they continued down the left path, eventually reaching a clearing with a bunker-like door at one end.
"There's the entrance to wherever they're holding the President; we'll get up there and while you watch my rear, Peach, I'll freeze the lock and bust it, then we'll go in and get him. That sound like a plan, love?" Sarah asked as they continued along...

They say there comes a point in one's life when you have to step up to the plate at something and now was Sarah's time; as she began walking through the simulated jungle, assisted by Julie's shaping and bending of the sun-rays as the simulation featured a setting sun in the distance. Although the simulated heat and humidity was bothering her a bit, Sarah didn't let it show, instead taking a few quick breaths now and then, her cold breath forming tiny clouds of steam as they hit the simulated air. I'll have to figure out a way to hide that, she mused as they proceeded deeper into the jungle.
Up ahead in the jungle clearing there were two distinct paths. One going left, and the other going right. Both were dark and Julie pushed her light forward to brighten the way, but this was Sarah's call. She was taking the lead on this mission. Julie was almost a little excited, if not terrified to see Sarah in action. She was so strong and confident.
Pausing their steps, Sarah knelt down on the jungle floor and motioned for Julie to do the same; she wanted to see what was ahead of them but before she could do so, they both saw the paths ahead had different obstacles: the left path held drums beating a strange and foreboding pattern and where there were drums, there could be hostiles ahead while the right path was full of dark, smoky equally foreboding clouds... "Well? Right or left do ya thank?" Julie asked in her sweet southern bell voice.
"We'll go the left route," Sarah replied, but she had an idea for luring whoever was on that left path away. Holding her hand out, she waited for the tendrils of ice to begin building, then she shot out several quick shots of ice out in the distance; these weren't for building ice walls or injuring anyone but were for clearing out that smoke as fast as cleanly as possible. With the humidity in the air, the ice shots wouldn't last long but she didn't need to; she just needed them to last long enough to lure anyone in front of them away. Firing a few more shots of ice down the right path, Sarah waited, then smiled as they both heard the drums fall to silence, the sounds of people moving to check out the strange noises off in the distance. "As soon as they....alright, Julie, let's go; c'mon, c'mon, c'mon!" Sarah whispered, getting back up and quickly moving down the left path, hoping she had chosen right...

"I'm stepping down as X-Team Leader. The Xavier School. Deserves someone better to lead the X-men then me." Julie said.
The words floored Sarah; as long as they'd been together, she had never known Julie to give up on anything so for to her to step down from something was a major shock to her. She also knew it wouldn't be any use for her to try and talk her out of it; Julie was as stubborn as the strongest of Georgia mules and Sarah knew full well that once she had made up her mind about something, that was it.
On the flip side, it was nice to bring out Julie's wondrous, beautiful smile as she took a moment to show off her own abilities... "Show off." She smirked in her southern Georgia accent.
"Why, thank you," Sarah replied, doing a full theatrical bow and curtsy as Julie walked over and programmed the Danger Room's AI for the scenario to come. Suddenly, they were immersed in the midst of a thick, hot and stifling jungle; almost immediately, Sarah could feel herself begin heating up as her body reacted to the sudden, though simulated, arrival of humid and hot conditions. Yes, Sarah knew it was a simulation but damn did it feel uncomfortable for someone used to the cold.
Setting all that aside, Sarah read the conditions of the simulation and listened as Julie said to her, "How about you take the lead on this one babe," a light smile across her lips. Smiling back at Julie, Sarah replied, "Alright, let's go rescue the President and give those GADEM bastards some hell they won't soon forget, shall we?"

Walking down to the Danger Room, Sarah thought about the X-Team and everything they'd been through. Like other mutants, she too had felt the sting of battle, having helped to defend the Xavier School....the numerous ice walls she created had helped blunt several key attacks and though it'd drained her immensely, she had never thought to usurp the position of anyone on the X-Team. Besides, she thought as she began walking towards the Danger Room, the X-Team is Julie's affair; no matter the faults she may possess, whatever they may be, she is a good leader for them and if anyone can rebuild them, she can do it...
To her surprise, however, when she arrived there was no one down there but Julie; in her assumption that there was still a team for her to train, Sarah had forgotten the heavy price the X-Team had paid... The danger room simulation was going to start soon and the X-Team was down to only a handful of members. Julie included. There had been a big battle recently and sadly half of the X-Team had died in it trying to save the city. They did save the city, but not before suffering heavy losses. Julie was the leader of that team and it was her judgments and calls that got half her team killed.
For several moments, Sarah actually considered turning and leaving; even with her lust for life in everything she did, she had honestly never considered becoming a part of the X-Team... No one showed up. Damn. No one believed in her anymore. No one wanted to join the X-Team with her as the leader. She might get them killed. She was about to pack it up and decide that training was canceled when she noticed Sarah had followed her down. "Hey..." She said quietly. Julie didn't want her knowing something was the matter. "Training is canceled I guess. Want to get something to eat?" Julie was really excited about the possibility of training today. To make up for her mistakes in the field. She needed training. She looked at Sarah quietly wondering if Sarah might actually want to train. Julie had never actually seen her abilities in combat or in action. "Actually. would you like to train with me? I think it could be good." She said softly. Julie was just happy it was a simulation and should couldn't get Sarah killed in any way.
A broad smile crossed Sarah's face when she heard Julie's question; whatever fears that Sarah might've possessed fell away at that instant and Sarah held out her arm, tiny tendrils of ice energy forming on the tips of her fingers. "I would be honored, Julie," Sarah replied, flashing her arm off to the side, streamers of ice forming and flowing out from her hand. In seconds an ice wall, solid as any brick or concrete wall, was formed; closing up her hand, she playfully blew across her fingers as if cooling them down and said, "Where should we begin?"

Waking up after a night of passion, Sarah awoke to an empty bed and shivered slightly; even in the slowly ascending warmth of the day ahead, Sarah was still cold to the touch. It was part of what made her who and what she was but it also cast a faint bluish tinge on her skin but as with everything else in her life, she enjoyed the good and the bad of it all. Julie must've woke up already, Sarah thought, sitting up, still naked as the day was long, yawning and stretching her arms out by her sides.
After a few minutes' sitting up in bed, lounging back a bit - and remembering the wild night of sex we had last night! she mused - Sarah got up; the day wasn't getting any younger. After giving herself a moment to wake up some more, Sarah headed off to the bathroom and washed up, looking forward to the day ahead. She knew Julie was going to train with the X-Team and although Sarah wasn't a member per se', she kept a keen interest in their activities for as an instructor at the Xavier School, she too might be asked to work with them someday in the future. Besides, she thought, as she toweled off and dried herself everywhere, I need to practice my cryokinetic combat skills and today's as good a day as any.
At its' heart, cryokinetic combat was the ability to use ice as weapon by either direct manipulation of ice - creating an ice wall or freeezing the ground around them - or by creating ice-based tools and weapons that once could then use in combat. It was a skill Sarah had had since her early teen years and over time, she had cultivated a keen sense of ability in using her power but it came at a cost. That cost was the almost cold-bloodedness of her physical being; however, she had turned that potential concern into an advantage over time and though it wasn't the strongest power at the School, it was a valuable power.
Walking back into the bedroom, Sarah dressed in her usual weekend attire - jeans with hiking boots, a light blouse with undershirt beneath it - and added a light blue bandanna to her wardrobe, fixing it around her forehead and pulling her hair back into a tight ponytail underneath it. Ah, there we go, she thought, looking at herself in the mirror, don't you look like a million bucks! Making sure everything was good to go, Sarah headed out, figuring even if she wasn't a member of the X-Team, it would be nice to watch them in action.

Seeing the breath of frosty air come out through Julie's lips, Sarah smiled a broad smile as she snuck a hand up Julie's back and lightly tugged at her hair, exposing her lovely neck. Listening to Julie's request, Sarah 's reply was to lightly brush her tongue up from the crook of her neck all the way up to her chin - light, feathery brushes, as if she were painting a masterpiece. Sarah loved seeing Julie's attempts to take control and it pleased her to no end; it made her domination of Julie all the more exciting. Like Julie, Sarah knew they were an item at the School and like Julie, Sarah didn't like to flaunt their relationship either but as she learned long ago, there were ways to exert control that, unless you were looking specifically for them, you'd never notice between a couple such as themselves.
Watching as Julie reached out and pressed her hand out onto her chest, Sarah watched in amazement - it still amazed her to see Julie do this, to take a little of her warmth and care and turn it to light - as Julie reached out, twirled her fingers and turned the small orb of light and warmth into a heart, sending it along so that they'd have a path to follow back to their quarters... It bounced and floated around their heads for a moment before moving silently down the hallway. Lighting their path as they moved through the common areas and up the stairs to the dormatories.
Taking hold of Julie's hand with a firm, strong grip, Sarah led the two of them down the hallway, silently moving through the common areas and up the stairs, the only sounds being the pleasant pitter-patter of their feet as they headed upstairs to their residence.. They had actually started living together. The two of them sharing one dorm room. It wasn't as cramped as it sounded. The dorms were two bedrooms and quite spacious. At least their was. It had a small kitchen and a lovely balcony. Yes, Julie had found herself with the mack daddy suite of all dorms, but it was cozy. Making their way upstairs Julie happily followed, being tugged along down the hallway until they found their way to their dorm.
Stopping at the door, Sarah turned and took hold of both of Julie's wrists, raising them above her head as they stood inside, holding them there with a tight grip. Leaning in, Sarah kissed her again, more forcefully and yet with love and passion; resting herself tight against Julie, Sarah's breath left a light chill on Julie's skin wherever it hit - not enough to hurt but enough for Julie to feel the contrast of heat and cold. "Trying to take control, heh?" Sarah whispered, her tongue running its' way along one earlobe, her lips pulling on it a moment before letting go. "I'll have to put a stop to that, my Georgia peach," Sarah said, that seductive tone in her voice back again. "Now, wait here," letting go of her wrists as she turned and began to walk to their bedroom, "while I decide what to do with my Georgia peach," reaching the bedroom door just as she finished her words, devilish thoughts dancing through Sarah's head - and, for that matter, everywhere else inside her...

Julie wasn't completely used to the idea of being in a relationship. Honestly it kind of shocked her how quickly she had settled into the new role. She felt the warm embrace of Sara behind her. "Wha...what are you doing?" She asked playfully. "The students could come in and catch us."
"I know," Sarah replied as Julie turned to look at her, Sarah's arms still locked around her in a close embrace, Julie's arms looping around Sarah's neck as they backed up to the counter, "but that's what makes it so exciting, the risk, the excitement: the thrill of knowing someone could walk in and catch us like this," pausing as they kissed, their lips dancing across the other's in a tender touch. But it wasn't just being a risk-taker that thrilled Sarah so much; it was the idea of going out onto the razor's edge and dancing out there, knowing the least slip could cause disaster. Its' what gave her such a dominant personality; knowing that you could go out to the edge, life live to the fullest and then return back to sanity confident in the knowledge that nothing bad was going to happen to you. Nothing, whatsoever.
It was their personalities, though, that made their relationship what it was; they both had their foibles but there was no doubt who the dominant and the submissive were, absolutely no doubt. What had attracted Sarah the most about Julie was her warmth, her willingness to try new things, to explore her limits and it was their that Sarah's heart truly shined; although Sarah was the dominant in their relationship, her heart was open to the beauty of Julie's own life experiences and to the idea that if you were willing to live life to the fullest, Sarah would always be there for you, no matter what.
Resting her hands right in the center of Julie's back, they continued to embrace as she listened to Julie... "Your students.... You gave them the weekend off right?" Julie made a pouting face. "I'm so busy this weekend. It's really not fair." She pouted a little more. Puffing out her lower lip and trying to look as cute as she could. She couldn't help but have that Georgia accent slip out whenever she spoke. "Can't we spend a little time together before the weekend is over?"
Leaning in, Sarah nipped at her nose and then planted a long kiss on her lips. "Yeah; I'd been riding them hard the past few weeks and I kinda' figured they needed a few days to rest and recharge their batteries," squeezing Julie closer to her. Sarah chuckled lightly at the sight of Julie pouting; it was a delightful look that simply added to her beauty. "Plus I needed to recharge as well; one can only go all-out for so long before even I have to pause for a moment," leaning forward to nip and kiss at Julie's shoulder and the tender space between her shoulder and neck. "Time is but a construct...I've got a few ideas, though, darling," Sarah whispered, adding with a seductive tone, "but right now, I believe there's a bed calling our names..."

Turning to the sound of a new person entering the room. A bit of blush touched her cheeks as she saw it was Sarah. The art Teacher. I wonder what she's doing up at this hour she thought.
Turning back to her sandwich Julie spoke over her shoulder. "Late night?" Her voice was soft and sweet and quiet honestly shy. She had known Sarah only a short time. But what she knew of her was steeped in mystery. They hadn't had much time to actually get to know each other, but she could tell by the sideways glances that she had noticed Julie.
"Couldn't sleep," Sarah replied, smiling as she grabbed an ice-cold bottle of water and popped the cap open, drinking deeply from it. Dressed in a tight-fitting shirt and hi-cut shorts, she looked every bit the athlete she was, a trait that dovetailed with her cryokinetic combat skills and although she wasn't a member of the X-Team, she could be counted on to fight when the chips were down.
Taking another long drink of water, Sarah looked over at Julie; although they'd only known each for a few weeks, there seemed to be something there, a connection of sorts, that Sarah felt, like when someone is looking for someone special to share their life with and just when you think you'll never find them, they cross your path suddenly, like a gift from the heavens. That was how Sarah looked at their relationship; every day, she felt, was like a gift, not to be wasted or squandered...which, ironically, Sarah thought, was something she taught her students in the Art and Art History classes she taught at the School. Treat everyday as if its' your last on this Earth; live life to the fullest, every single day, and you'll be surprised at where life takes you.
As for her own classes, Sarah - known for being a strict instructor by the School's standards - had decided to give her students the weekend off: no homework assignments, nothing to study for Monday. To her way of thinking, you couldn't work students too hard or else you'd burn them up over time; better to let them have the occasional bit of time off, provided they came in Monday ready to go once again.
Hearing Julie's sweet, yet pleasantly shy voice, Sarah put down the bottle of water and wrapped her arms around Julie, drawing her close to her, the radiance of the younger woman a nice contrast to the coolness of her own older self. "Like I said, I couldn't sleep," Sarah whispered, "wasn't for lack of effort, though," she quipped, resting her head on Julie's shoulder as she stood right up next to her, holding her closely. "So, what do you got planned for tomorrow, babe?" Sarah asked.

x sarah sharpe NAME. Sarah Elizabeth Sharpe NICKNAME. Ice Maiden AGE. 38 years old BIRTHDAY. 14 Dec. 1980 MEMBER GROUP. Mutant GENDER. Female SEXUAL ORIENTATION. Lesbian POWER: Cryokinetic combat STRENGTHS:. Mutants possessing this power have the ability to utilize ice as a combat weapon, either through direct manipulation of ice (ex. putting up ice walls, freezing the ground around an area, etc.) or by creating tools and weapons for combat usage. They can also manipulate the environment around them (freezing the ground, creating sudden-built ice walls, etc.) which can then be used as weapons in their own right. Applications of cryokinetic combat also include the ability of creating an ice exoskeleton for protection and armor. WEAKNESS: Don't get them around anyone using fire, lava or heat powers as it nullifies the cryokinetic properties of their own powers, essentially melting and weakening the use of those powers. However, those opposing powers do not eliminate the use of cryokinetic combat, so those possessing this power can still use it, though at a weakened capacity.

Growing up in the mountains of northern Idaho, Sarah Sharpe had a keen sense for life, cultivated by her parents, professors of the University of Idaho, but from an early age people noticed Sarah had some strange habits - notably, that she loved to play outside in the dead of winter without cold-weather gear. People tried to figure out why until it eventually became apparent that she was a mutant with the power to use cold and ice as weapons, a skill she used as a teenager whilst fending off a group of attackers...
....when it was over, Sarah was unhurt, alive, but her attackers were bloodied and dead, having been sliced apart by razor-sharp ice weaponry. Once the authorities found out what had happened, her parents -fearing ostracism within their seemingly tight-knit community - decided to ship young Sarah to the Xavier School, where she soon excelled in physical combat training, physical training but most of all in the arts.
