POWER: Physiology Manipulation (Insect and Arachnid Restriction)
STRENGTHS: Crawler can modify his anatomy to grant him bug like traits such as ant-like strength or the ability to climb up walls. He can also grow bug parts or replace his own limbs with bug parts (exe. growing wasp wing or replacing his hands with pincers). When he chooses to grow a carapace shell around his body, the carapace is capable of withstanding most bullets, but high caliber firearms are still harmful to him.
WEAKNESS: Fire is extremely dangerous to bugs. Because of this, Crawler is very pyrophobic. Candles, campfires, and even lit cigarettes make him uncomfortable while bonfires and explosions terrify him. Also, whenever he uses his ability to replace parts of his body with bug parts, he has a chance to develop an urge to act like said bug in some way (eating sugar, drinking guts etc.). Although he can't be controlled by mutants with the ability to manipulate bugs, he does feel a strong urge to obey or be close to them.

OVERALL. Crawler is normally very closed off and secretive due to his history of abuse from being considered freakish for his ability. Calling him a freak results in a violent reaction. When someone actually gets him to open up and call someone a friend, he is very sweet, caring and protective of them and will try his best to do what he can for them.

OVERALL. Ever since he mutated, Crawler was beaten and abused for being a "freak". His family abandoned him, he was captured by G.A.D.E.M but escaped not without a few new scars from the event. Every attempt at friendship even among mutants led to him being treated like a monster and he was commonly attacked. Because of this, he hardly talks which caused his voice to be raspy from lack of use.
His lack of interactions with people has caused some of his more bug like and animalistic aspects come out in his behavior causing him to commonly make buck like clicks and shrieks to convey emotion. (such as guttural shrieks to show fear or anger, or letting out a low clicking sound when happy or relaxed). Ever since he mutated at the age of fourteen he has been on his own with very few friends making him an extremely lonely individual with issues trusting others
